How To Have an Impromptu Movie Night That Works

Sometimes you have friends over.

You’re eating and drinking. Re-telling stories and shared memories that rock the room with laughter.

Then someone says, “hey that reminds me of some specific movie they saw’.

Someone else adds a few words about the same movie. Another person pipes up about a similar movie.

And before you know it, someone else is saying, ‘hey now we’re talking movies, why don’t we watch one”.

Can you guess what happens next?

I can tell you what happens with me.

We ponder over a few titles, dismissing each one for a different reason.

Eventually we realise we can’t decide on a movie to watch.

Partly, because physical DVDs are no longer a thing, so there’s not a lot of choice that we can easily get up and browse through.

And partly because we all have good movie suggestions.

But we just can’t remember them right there, on the spot.

Before you know it, so much time has passed in trying to choose a movie, that there’s no time left to watch one anyway.

There’s a simple way to stop this happening again.

Use a printable movie tracker.

Keep it in your TV room.

Keep it in your planner.

Just keep it in a place you’ll remember. And be able to find it easily.

And fill it with movie titles.

Good movies you’ve seen.

Good movies that have won Oscars.

Good movies that have been recommended to you.

Over time you’ll need to print out more and more movie tracker pages so you can log all the movies that would work for an impromptu movie session or a movie marathon even.

The Printable Movie Tracker lives in the Free Planner Printable Library. Get access here.
